Arizona, revisited

This was my first time wintering in Arizona (Quartzsite) and definitely will not be my last.

Arizona Sun RV Park

Absolutely phenomenal weather, although it did rain twice in the seven weeks we were there.

Originally I had planned on learning to “boondock” (camp without any hookups, no electricity, water, or sewer), but after just a few days I figured out that I’m really a glamper. Boondocking is too much like work, worrying about how much water is left and when do I need to dump the waste water tanks.

We went to visit Lake Havasau City and the London Bridge.

My nephew Robert visited over Christmas.

We all participated in the festivities at the campground.

One of my bucket list items is to see my Philadelphia Flyers play in all of the NHL venues. We went to Phoenix to watch them play the Coyotes, it was Robin’s first time at a professional hockey game. Unfortunately my team didn’t play that well.

I finally got to meet my daughter in-law, Steven and his bride Ivy escaped the New Jersey winter for a few days.

Also visited Fedex family in Phoenix. Sandra Butler never seems to age, somehow it’s not fair!

I thoroughly enjoyed Arizona and am already planning on returning next winter. I’m beginning to meander east, New Mexico is calling me.
