Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks (Trail of 100 giants).

Awesome gigantic trees. Some of the oldest living things on the planet.

These two parks abut each other with a few miles of National Forest between.

A few pictures to show the size of these parks, probably around a quarter of the size of the entire state of New Jersey.

Absolutely phenomenal weather the entire time we were in central California.

This would be a perfect spot for a picture of the General Sherman, largest tree in the world. But I encountered a half mile back up of waiting cars to get into the parking lot, and those of you who know me well, know that I’m NOT waiting in any line.

Next posting, Yosemite.
