The weather here has been awesome. Warm sunny days, a bit of a breeze at night, and very little rain.
I spent some time in Ft. Lauderdale and met with another FedEx alum, Bill Montgomery. Bill retired before I did even though he’s younger than me. (That doesn’t seem right).
There are a lot of beautiful state, county, and local parks in Florida.
Also met with an old friend from my younger days, Kevin Cannava.
And his wonderful girlfriend Shelly, who is one heck of a good cook. (Grilled salmon was outstanding)
There was a bike and car show the weekend I was there.
Kevin and Shelly are both bikers, Harley Davidson’s, go figure.
They invited me to their “church” Sunday morning.
The Mermaid is a biker bar on Ft. Myers beach.
$2.00 Mimosas and Bloody Marys, my kind of church.
Yes, that’s Robin!
He finally decided to get the hell away from the snow and enjoy some warm weather.
And this wouldn’t be my blog without a little drama.
I had just arrived into Kissimmee South campground and backed into my site. I thought I was a little close to the electric panel and decided to move just another foot. That’s when I discovered I couldn’t move at all. Thankfully I have roadside assistance.
Next time, even more Florida!
