New York, Lake Ontario, and Letchworth State Park

I completely forgot about Labor Day and was unable to get reservations any where near Pittsburgh (or McKeesport), so I called Passport America and asked them to find me a place within 150 miles. Hence I found myself in Randolph New York at the Pope Haven Campground.

Close proximity to Allegheny National Forest.

Lots of walking trails and driving tours of the area.

Moved another 100 miles east to Darien Lakes State Park.

Had tried to stay at Letchworth State Park but the biggest sites they have are 32 feet long.

Absolutely awesome State Park with multiple water falls, and many biking and hiking trails.

I even managed to get to Lake Ontario a few times.

Heading south to Pennsylvania
