Arrived into Minneapolis at Motorwerks, the Mini Cooper dealer, the afternoon before my appointment. It was very “interesting” towing the car in rush hour traffic in downtown Minneapolis. No sense going to the campground as I would still have to get the Mini to the dealership.
Decided to try and get to ALL of the Great Lakes this trip.
From Minnesota, I went to Wisconsin, enjoying the cheese and Lake Superior.
I even found a dog beach for Ruby.
Moved across the state and stayed on Lake Michigan.
And you can’t go through Wisconsin without a stop at Lambeau Field.
From there, I headed South into Illinois, the land of Lincoln.
A humbling experience, as in my opinion, he was the Greatest president ever.
East to Indiana and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
This place is. H. U. G. E. !!!
Northeast to Michigan and Lake Huron.
You know the lake is huge when you can’t see across to the other side.
South to Ohio and Lake Erie.
I visited Cuyahoga Valley National Park in Ohio (will post a separate blog).
From Ohio I traveled east to Pennsylvania where I was born.
Reconnecting with two uncles, (both younger than me), whom I have not seen in over 30 years.
Tim, who’s a few years younger, and I last saw at my Dads funeral in1987,
And Tom, who I last saw when I was a teenager,
Cuyahoga Valley National Park is next
