James, Roger, and I spent a week in the finger lakes on Cayuga Lake.
First order of business was the Corning Glass Museum, if you ever have the time, it’s really a great museum. They have hands on demonstrations of glass blowing, artifacts from thousands of years ago and a kick-ass gift shop.
We went sight seeing and out to eat every day.
Did I mention that the finger lakes is known for their wine? With over a hundred wineries spread out throughout the region.
James, now officially known as “ice cream boy” insisted that we try a different ice cream store daily as well. Hence the new nickname.
We also got up to Rochester to visit the George Eastman (of Eastman Kodak) museum.
He lived in a 35 thousand square foot house made completely out of poured concrete.
Our 45 minute tour of his home lasted over 4 hours, our tour guide was a little enthusiastic.
A great time was had by all.
